Wandering

Wandering is a lyrical, hybrid literary journey in four parts through geographical and emotional landscapes, constructed in prose, poetry and images. Autobiographical, fictional and documentary, it spans mythical cities and high-Arctic wilderness; finding one’s footing and losing one’s footing; crossing from desert to ocean, connection to solitude.

“The experience of ‘living’ is fragmentary and ragged, but somehow coherent. It’s as complex as a city, as a web of roots, or as an ocean’s surface. We understand our lives, just as we know the squared forms of our towns, the draggled edges of nature, the chaos of storm and current. Sometimes it is beyond us – but to make the journey into strangeness, fear and uncertainty is worth the risk; is life, is love.

– It is solved in walking.”
